Mirror and (unintended) view of our living room - "as is".

Winter Project

 This mirror - a thrift store purchase...

 After gluing a few loose joints, I carved out a squared shape
to encompass the chip in the backside of the frame.

Then I created a patch to fill in the shape.

After the glue dries, it will be time to select a paint color.

We can't remember how we acquired it for sure...

possibly a curbside treasure.

Name that Color

 In the end, instead of painting it,
we decided to gently sand the entire desk

and to strip and stain the top to match the distressed patches.

A couple of coats of wax and some intense buffing
 produced a beautiful result.

The color?  My wife calls it "Moody Blue".

Soft Grey Sofa Tables

 I took apart a vintage table, carefully salvaging its parts,

 and created two sofa tables!

 They will find new homes soon...

my wife is SURE of it!

My wife saw "book shelf".

 This one, custom-made.

34" high (a little taller than normal).

Hot Commodity

Pleased with the way this turned out.

It sold within 10 minutes of being listed on a local

Facebook garage sale site.

It's a Start

 Found curbside!  We loaded it while in our Sunday clothes

and drove carefully about a block to our house to unload it.

It is missing a drawer, so I'm going to construct a shelf in the spot.

I'll use the middle pull on the bottom drawer 

and replace it with a wooden knob before painting.

 Finished.

Similar but Different

 Though very much like the one shown finished in the prior post,

I had to construct legs for this one.

I need to fill in the gap  inside the leg seen below....

 ...and here is the outside of a leg.  I've filled in the crack.

It will be painted so all I had to do was sand it smooth.

The Latest

 Encouraged by the quick sale of two other sofa tables,

and eager to use up some spare furniture parts (table legs, in this case)

and scrap lumber, I set about to construct yet another table.

 Above: fastening boards for the bottom shelf.

Here, the finished piece which sold within hours of being listed!
