It Just Keeps Getting Better

While hand-scraping, I realized there was a design on the drawers!
Here (above) are the 3 drawers and the door I fashioned to cover the "hole".
Look at the joints in the drawers.  This peg construction and square nails throughout....
(See previous post for the way it looked when we brought it home.)

A Challenge

Purchased at a garage sale this week.
Gnawed by rodents while it sat in a barn,
it is now undergoing an extensive renovation!
Just look at those great "pulls"!
Parts of it had to be rerouted to repair gnawed areas.
Other parts were fashioned to replace missing pieces.

Drawers were repaired; and holes filled.
I reconfigured and repaired the back
and am currently working on a door to replace the missing one in front.
We'll see what we have after a good sanding and paint job!

Playing with Plaster of Pariss

 Found curbside,
we brought this plaster of Paris pedestal home.
Patched a few spots, then covered with primer mixed with a bit of paint.
After it dried, we watered down some thinned down homemade white
chalk paint and applied it.  Blotted with a rag for desired effect.
