Legs for the Book Shelf
I cut off the bottoms of two ends of this bedstead to form the front lets
of the bookshelf. I shaped simple back legs from wood scraps.

November Project
A "found" piece of wood became the back of a bookcase
I'm fashioning from lumber on hand.
I'm planning to paint it and fashion some legs for it yet....

Another One
The first stain applied left the top of the piece dull.
I sanded it and simply applied a poly finish.
Lots of distress marks, but these add character!
In the end, quite a handsome piece
if I say so myself!

In Progress
All salvaged materials combined to
be a 5' long sofa table.
Plan is to stain the top and paint the rest black.

Better than She Expected
After much scraping and contemplation about whether or not to keep
the doors unpainted to "remember" the cabinet's past lives,
we decided to paint it white.
The project turned out
better than she expected!

Three to Go
After fashioning the kitchen island/standing work station
from butcher block top to frame
made from bed frames found curbside,
I moved to finishing the particle board cabinet
housing the working stereo that we snagged for "Free"!
We went with a safe and sophisticated black paint, leaving the legs their original color.
Now working on this great, old cabinet that had sat in back
of a garage for many, many years.
It has great storage inside and my wife is thinking it belongs
along the back of our kitchen's island.
It's going to be a beauty!

One Little Chest
Filled in a corner that had been damaged;
created some legs to give the little stand some height;
attached them and then
painted it and moved it inside!

From This to This
Found this desk covered with maps and without legs
lying on the roadside.
Turned out quite well!
Our grandson will sit at it for his homeschooling year next year.

He's GOT This!
S'not "real" wood and the condition was poor.
In fact, two drawer fronts are beyond repair.
BUT....
the price was right (free)
and already work has begun to create a shelf for the top opening.
I (his wife) am excited to see this heavy, sturdy piece painted white!
He's GOT this!
