Plaster Pineapple

She bought this at a thrift store.  We used spackling to re-create one of the leaves that had broken off at the top.  (It was what I had on hand.)  Today I took advantage of some wonderful weather to prime and then paint it.  We're very happy with the result.

  2. In the South here, the pineapple is a symbol used to show hospitality. It is all over the old homes, inside on wood staircases, on top of furniture as a finial/cap piece, outside on fences, etc. Looks great!

  3. It is beautiful! It's kind of weird but this is the first time a new post has showed up in my reader, I missed the last few.
